The RoboReptile only has two types of internal sensors, encoders and tilt sensors. The five encoders are used to determine the position of each leg, and the orientation of the waist and neck. The two tilt sensors are used to determine if the RoboPet is lying on its left or right side.
The RoboPet only has two forms of external sesors, a single Mic is used to sense loud noises. The left and right IR transmitters are used for the left right object detection, while the center one is for edge detection. The single IR Receiver is used for both left and right object detection, and edge detection.
