Mounting Tri-Clock

Since the mounting point I create for Tri-Bot's torso doesn't have the stops that the old mount had (mine relies on pure friction to hold position), the old stops need to be removed. Fortunately, the pins holding the stops in place slip out with only a minimal amount of force. The small rubber piece of unknown function is also gone, I'm using that hole in the shell to run the wiring through.

A test fitting shows that the torso attaches to my mounting point without issue. I was also able to run the wiring through the existing hole (though getting the two halves closed took a little wiggling), and the base moves without putting any tension on the wiring. As you can see from the jagged edge in the photo below, I need to remember, drill first... then shape.

Since that's done. I decided it was time to give the base a few coats of spray paint. Unfortunately, I could not get my hands on fire engine red, so I had to make do with "Scarlet" its a fairly close match, though in the photo's it seems closer. I'm sure I only inhaled half a can of red paint while doing this.

Stay tuned, up next we have reassembling the torso, and dealing with all that wiring.
