website update

Happy New Year!

It looks like the new year is going to be promising. We have CES 2008 coming up in a few days, where we should get to see what WowWee has in store for this year. One possible product they will be releasing is the BladeStar, which appears to have been prematurely linked to off the flytech website.

RoboQuad

RoboQuadRoboQuadWell, I went out and found a RoboQuad yesterday. I got it home, only to discover that the SD card for my digital camera was in someone else's laptop. After starting at the unopened box for a few hours, it finally got to me. So I dug out my old digital camera and got started.

Despite some problems (flat batteries, corrupt memory cards etc), I soldiered on, and I have added my first impressions of the RoboQuad's internals to the site.

Finally!

Well, I finally finished the RS Media section. After spending all of my free time for over two weeks. In addition, I have updated all the other sections. Suffice it to say, I'm getting really sick of editing pages.

Just in time for the RoboQuad to be released. I'm going to go shopping today and see if I can find one. If I do it will be a nice surprise since I still haven't found a DragonFly, and they are supposed to have been available for a while now.

The good thing about all this is that it will finally allow me time to get back to playing with my toys again. Hopefully I should have some interesting news about one or two of the projects I have been sidelining for a while in the next few days.

Been A While

Its been some time since my last update. Since then the site has moved servers, and gone through some issues. Everything should be back on track though. I'm hoping to complete the RS Media section in the next week or so, and finally finish off the Serial Connection HowTo.

Times are tough...

Working hard on porting my existing content from my old site to this new one. About half of the content has been shifted, but I have gotten side-tracked creating the new content for the RS Media.

WowWee has indicated that they may be making the GPL'ed code available to the public shortly, so I am very happy about that.

Speaking of the RS Media, I was working on mapping the RS Media's circuitry when I happened to look up and see this.
